we use RDT (mstsc.exe) from an XP machine to connect to remote XP machines.
I searched the internet about the encryption of the data traffic but cannot
find a definit answer. When does the encryption begin? Before or after
logging in?

If you have info I'd like to hear it. I'd appreciate links to trustworthy
sites.
