Not an American, but I somewhat agree, here (in Australia) Japanese cars out
did the American ones out of sheer realiablity and costs (Euro cars are
still a bit more pricey here, but great), I try to avoid American
engineering, I prefer craftmanship to cost cutting mass production measures.
Just look at Windows. Much prefer, a Toshiba than an IB(bloody hopless)M,
Lexus to a Chevy, SuSE Linux (when it was German) to Redhat, a CZ to a
Remington, Chinotto to a Coke, watching grass grow to a Holywood movie, a
vegemite sandwich to a McDonalds burger, any leader to....errr well even The
Terminator would make a better president than the current "girly man".
