Hi!
I really need help! I don't have the userinit / wsaupdater problem, i
have already tried that solution and it didn't help. The thing is
this:
When I logon to Windows a popup-window appears before you can see any
icons, nor the start menu. The popup-window doesn't contain any text,
just two alternatives, "yes" or "no". It's been like this for like a
week and it doesn't seem to matter if I choose "yes" or "no"; after I
click either of them windows just logs on as usual. Until today, that
is. Now windows automatically logs right back out again straight
after I click yes or no in the popup-window.
I had exactly the same problem a copule of weeks ago, first a harmless
popup-window that doesn't seem to do anything, then, after a couple of
days, it's impossible to logon to windows. I solved the problem then
by reinstalling windows xp, but now it's back again and I really
don't feel like reinstalling windows every two weeks.
Some info that may or may not be helpful:
I can logon to Windows Safe-mode but NOT to Safe Mode with Network.
I don't have any password in my windows profile (which, by the way is
the only profile and it has administrator rights).
My computer is connected to a LAN with one other computer (the one I'm
typing on now) and a router.
I regularly run AdAware and Spybot and I have the Norton Internet
Security installed and activated. It really doesn't seem like there
is a virus. Atleast not one that these programs can find.
I would really appreciate help!!! I'm kind of desperate here.

Have you tried a system restore to before this issue reoccurred? Also
think about getting a drive imaging program to image your system when
it's in a healthy state - Norton Ghost, Acronis True Image, Terabyte
Unlimited's Image for Windows are programs that do this.

It sounds like you do have some kind of malware on your computer. Start
by running either Sysclean (instructions at the Elephant Boy link
below) or Dave Lipman's Multi-AV from:
http://www.ik-cs.com/multi-av.htm
Go through these malware removal steps systematically:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/...moving_Malware
You probably will need to run HijackThis and post your log to one of the
forums listed at the link above (not here, please).
