That is a good gouge.

Clear, Concise, Coherent.

I also deleted more than 50 MB of ash and trash in C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded
Installations and the KB uninstall files [over 90 MB], as well as
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download [another 50 MB or so]. Previously
I had deleted over 400 MB of other ash and trash.

As a result of these various deletions my system is running noticeably
faster and cleaner.

Before, I felt like a marathoner trying to run in combat boots.

Windows XP Pro is an excellent OS -- IF you don't clog it up with a lot of
leftover ash and trash and unnecessary processes running "in the background"
[what a half-arsed MISNOMER that is].

It's like saying "some guy operating in the background, at night, is
stealing the gas out of my car -- but since it's in the background, I don't
worry about it -- because I never see it happening."

WinTasks 5.0 Pro will help too?
