The program icons near the clock all launch at start up. The more items there
the longer your Logon takes and ultimately affects your computers preformance
(like being around a bunch of screamin bratty kids all day, the more of them
there are the quicker they wear you out).
There are several ways to disable at startup, the most popular being the
Msconfig.
dont remove what you dont know. stick to the programs you dont use (like MSN
messenger and other "lite" services. If you arent sure about an app just do a
quick google
