Safe mode Boot Fails in drvmain.sdb
Posted by Thomas G. Marshall on December 5th, 2007

Win XP Pro (unsure of the service pack)

When my friend's notebook boots up, it shows the dell logo, goes to a cursor
and stops.

When I boot it in safe mode, the last thing shown is (somepath)/drvmain.sdb

And then it hangs.

I've run memtest86+ for 3 hours, just to make sure: it's ok.

Any ideas?
