Hello :-)
Last night, for reasons unknown to me, the "Save/Save as" window quit
alphabetizing folder contents :-P This screenshot shows what I'm talking
about.

The problem's not limited to just that directory. What might be wrong and
how can I fix it?
Thanx in advance :-)

I don't know how to fix it all in one shot but I know that if you right click
in the white space, not on a file, and choose 'arrange icons by..." and
choose 'name' it'll fix that particular folder that your looking at.

It doesn't stay that way when I go to save something again after doing that,
but thanx anyway :-)

What about going to Control Panel - Folder Options - on General and View,
click 'restore defaults' - ?????

Restore Sort order in Open and Save dialogs
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_d...nsaveorder.htm
Or...
To resolve this behavior, reset the default sort order:
1. Right-click Start, click Explore and then click drive C.
2. On the View menu, click Details.
3. Click the Name column to sort items by name, press and hold down the CTRL
key, and then quit Windows Explorer by clicking Close in the upper-right
corner of the screen.
4. Release the CTRL key.
5. Restart your computer.
NOTE: You must perform these steps exactly as they are listed. For example,
do not quit Windows Explorer by clicking Exit on the File menu.

Glad to hear that old Windows 98 MSKB article is still going strong.
Keep having fun. :-)
