Setup program dialogs not showing full size so can't complete setup ... Help??

Hi,
A client of mine is running Windows XP Home with SP2 and wanted to install
the Sony Connect software that allows her to synchronise mp3 files from her
computer with her walkman mp3 player. When she tried to install the
software, it goes to the usual EULA screen and there should be a tick box or
an option button that allows you to agree to the EULA. On her PC the dialog
seems shrunken and you can just see the tops of the letters where the "I
agree" type message appears but you can't see the text or the tick or option
button so that you can accept it.

I guessed that this must be a screen resolution thing or a font size issue,
so I upgraded the ATI graphics driver on her system to the latest Catalyst
driver from ATI and tried again, no joy, exactly the same.

I tried decreasing the resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 and back again,
it made no difference (couldn't go higher as the flat panel only supports a
max of 1024x768).

I tried changing the screen's DPI settings in the display panel from 96
(normal) to 120 (large) and it made no difference.

Just in case it was badly designed setup application screens, I ran the
setup on my laptop which also runs at 1024x768 and I can see all of the
dialogs and I can press the accept button.

Does anyone know why the dialogs appear compressed and not showing all there
buttons on her pc yet it os fine on my laptop??

It's driving me mad.
