In principle I agree with you. Download.com has it's own problems. It is
possible to download ad supported software there (spyware). If you search
for Ad-Aware you also get paid for links to download things like Adware and
Ad-Away that show up at the top of the results page. It is however an
official mirror (unlike butt's site) and they also have Spybot and other
good programs available. Whenever I recommend download .com to someone I
caution them to be careful to make sure they download the right program.

Kerry,
I very much agree with Leythos, it is still best to send them to the vendors
web site. They will have access to all the approved mirror sites from the
vendor page.
PS, Bet you never see BUTTS site listed as approved on any vendor's web
site. 8-)

I did forget PacBell and yahoo were the same, but I was making the point you
were not posting through msnews.microsoft.com, you only access the groups
through the news server, you post through your isp. The msnews.microsoft.com
server accepts or in your case deletes when you post as pcButts1.

I didn't make a report anyway, not my style. You notice I didn't post the
whois either. I just posted your posting host NNTP-Posting-Host:
cbuttsmac.jpl.nasa.gov 128.149.220.108 listed in your headers so you would
see how misinformed your are on how newsgroups work.

128.149.220.108 from my post? You haven't admitted you were wrong either.
