when i start manually a service, the event "the service... is started"
doesn't appear in the event viewer.
why?

Probably because you can see with your own eyes that
it starts, hence there is no need for an event logger entry.
It's the same with chkdsk.exe: When you run it manually
then you see the messages on the screen. When it runs
during startup, the messages are sent to the Event Logger.
