Strange color

Help! I turned off my computer today. When I turned it back on all the
windows, tool bars, desk top, etc. have a strange pinkish cast. I have tried
system restore but it did not remove the strange color. I am operating in
Windows XP Home edition. Any suggestions. I am still fairly new at this
computer "stuff".

Check your monitor and video card. Is it an onboard card by any chance?

It sounds like the green gun in your monitor is failing.
See if you can borrow another monitor to eliminate that as the cause.

Either that, or your monitor, or video card is failing. This mode of
failure is uncommon in video cards, more likely in the monitor.
