- Taskbar doesn't show open windows
- Posted by archie4 on October 16th, 2005
My taskbar does not show the windows that are currently in use. This becomes
a problem when I minimize windows but then those window disappear and cannot
be easily retrieved. How can I get my taskbar to show my open winows? I
have never heard of this happening before.

Do you have 'Group similar taskbar buttons' checked?
* right-click on 'Start' > select 'Properties' > click 'Taskbar' tab
* uncheck 'Group similar taskbar buttons' , click OK
ps-also uncheck 'Hide inactive icons' if that also bugs you.
