- Temp Internet files
- Posted by Lesley on December 6th, 2005
I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 & I am in the habit of emptying
my Temp. Internet Files every day or so & I can usually scroll for ages from
top to bottom as there are that many files in the folder but I have noticed
that over the last week there are nowhere near as many in there & I usually
visit the same sites daily...I was wondering if someone could give me a
reason why this has happened.

I too was watching carefully the contents of Temp files.
There appears to be some bug, imagine that, where files
stop showing up in the folder.
The usual advice is to use IE to purge the contents of the
folder and hopefully that this somehow temporarily flushes
out whatever the bug is depending on and the files again
start showing up when you again start roving the net. When
it starts happening again, flush the folder again, repeat.

I let IE Privacy Keeper do the job..less tedious.
