Hi. everytime i restart my laptop or leave it on for a while the time just
changes so its incorect. I have the corect area set in the time setting but
it still resets the clock everytime. im using a wireless network and my
laptops make is hp .ze4900. Thanks

Maybe the wireless network has been hijacked by a system
with the incorrect time.

The clock battery (different from the main laptop battery) may need to be
replaced. Contact your laptop vendor for more specific advice.

In your Date/Time control panel, you could make sure that an internet time
server is disabled - perhaps the time server on your network is corrupt. Or
perhaps enable it if it's not and see if that helps.

Somebody always brings up the CMOS battery when people mention their
clock being off. Did you READ the post? They mention that the time
get screwed up when starting up or when then "leave it on for a
while." If the time screws up while the computer is on then it has
nothing - zero, nada, zilch - to do with the CMOS battery.

When you notice that the time has changed, double click on the clock >
Internet Time.
Is Automatically synchronize checked? If so, what's the Server and what
does it say for the last successful synchronization?
