- Undelete Utility Help
- Posted by John on January 6th, 2006
Hi all
Can anyone recommend an undelete utility that can recover files that where
to large to go into the Recycle Bin. I have a couple of accidentally
deleted MPEG files the where about 7GB in size so did not go into the
Recycle Bin and all the utilities that I have found only work on files
deleted from the Recycle Bin.
Thanks for any recommendations.

Chances are with a file that large that some portion of the space freed up has now been used
making the file unrecoverable.

If you've been using the pc in question since you discovered the
problem, most likely there is no chance now of getting them back, as
internet temp/cache and windows temp files have probably already over
writtin them with new data.
Next time you delete a file you really need back, shut off the pc, and
then find an undelete util that works off a floppy.
