- UNwanted Desktop Toolbar

Some spyware (presumabley) loaded an iconic toolbar on my desktop that I
can't get rid of other than by closing it (it has a close button). But I
want to get rid of it completely. It loads everytime I boot my system.
I've looked at all my desktop settings, including desktop web. Nothing in my
startup folder. I even ran msconfig, and unloaded everything in the startup
tab. My AdAware spyware software hasn't found anything either.
Is there anything I can run that will show me what is being loaded on the
desktop?
I'm running XP Pro - SP2

The name of the toolbar would be helpful.
Have you tried looking in Control Panel > Add/remove programs to see if it
can be uninstalled from there?

MSAS is a good program, but you frequently need more than one
antispyware program to get rid of malware. Go through these removal
steps systematically:
