- User profile not working - only temporary profile will load
- Posted by JessicaIvy on December 17th, 2007
For some reason my laptop has decided not to load my user profile and will
only load a temporary profile, for which it won't save the settings when I
log off. It says that I should contact my network administrator but I don't
have one - or I am the administrator - the computer's not part of a network
as such. I do use it to access the internet through wireless networks both
at university and home but have never had this problem before. It's not a
massive problem as I can still access my documents but it's a bit of a pain:
I can't customise my desktop, I've lost my internet favourites and it takes
me a lot more clicks to get to 'My Documents' from the original profile.
What should I do?
Thanks so much for any help
Jess
