- VIA 1394 Card
- Posted by Henry on October 26th, 2005
My Windows XP SP2 PC will not recognise the VIA 1394 card and just ignores
it. How do I get XP SP2 to see the card? I added some hotfixes but I still
have the same problem.

Did you try Device Manager and see if one of these symbols ??? are appeared
down in "Unknown Devices?" If you see your card there, then XP was unable to
find the proper device driver for it. You may want to search for the proper
driver then reinstall.

If you have another slot available, move the Firewire card there instead.

Did you check if this card is compatible with XP?
Can you give me specs of this card to help you further?
