- Where is my Notepad Status Bar and CTRL+G ?
- Posted by dreamland on October 1st, 2005
Yes, I can not use the Status Bar feature and "Go CTRL+G" features in Notepad.
They both are disabled (grey) So I can not activate.
I expanded the advanced text services over control panel.
But its no use

Status bar tells you line numbers and goto gotos line numbers. If word wrap is on line numbers become meaningless (which line number do you mean - the line number on screen or in file - they are now different).
Attached is a modified version of notepad. I did it mainly to toggle status bar and word wrap quickly. It has extra shortcut keys and a simulated toolbar (using menu code).

Some people are stupid enough to install software from unknown sources
attached to Usenet posts; I'm not one of them.
