Right-click on the desktop > Properties > click on the settings tab at
the top right of the box.
You will get a slide bar.This slide bar is what you use to change the
resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and
monitor.

Look at your graphics card options and set it as any other resolution. If it
isn't there it is either not supported or you need a driver update.
