- win xp pro applications

Any solutions to applications failing to start in win xp pro? They can start
okay when I use Start...Run..Browse and then run the application. But they
cannot run when I click on their icons in either the start menu or in windows
explorer.

Does this happen with all applications or just some? If it is just
some applications then please provide a list of application names.
That additional information will reduce the list of possible culprits,
improving the chances of finding the right solution.

Doug Knox (MVP) has a file you can run that will fix that. Read the
