How do I set the size of the page shown
on my monitor?

I want to run a program in Safe Mode, but
the "start" button for the screen is below
the level of my monitor screen.

The program has the typical three buttons
in top right to minimize and maximize, but
the middle button which should give a split
screen is more of a U shape on the button
and minimizes the screen instead of splitting.

I've tried resizing the program window
by grabbing the top and the corner, but
the window bounces back to it's position
before I can go down and click the start,
or if I grab the corner it deletes the right
half of the program screen - which is where
the start button is located. Grabbing the
corner doesn't pull the window in for resizing.

I've also tried manipulating the display from
the buttons on the monitor, but that doesn't
help.

Any ideas on how to resize?

Just press the enter key to trip the "start"

There should be controls on the front of the monitor. All of my monitors
have different settings at different resolutions and safe mode is usually a
different resolution than a normal boot.

Adjust your monitor settings.

Thanks Bob ... pressing "enter" didn't start the program. Thanks for the
idea though, I hadn't tried it before your suggestion.... still looking for
the answer.

Thanks for the idea, Frank... the controls on the front of my monitor just
move the total image around...i.e. I can raise the image, but it leaves a
black border at the bottom of the screen and doesn't reveal any additional
data ... Dell 15" flat screen.

Thanks for your ideas!

Thanks Plato ... I've tried adjusting the monitor settings using the buttons
at the bottom of the monitor, but to no avail.

If there's a way to adjust the display setting to get it to show up in the
middle of the screen instead of full screen, I'd appreciate that tip. When I
try to adjust using the three buttons at top right, I can close the program
or minimize it, but the middle button that typically gives a split screen
image doesn't do that with Window Washer...the middle button also minimizes
it in safe mode.

Any other ideas appreciated.
Happy New Year

I don't have your particular monitor, but there should be one that moves the
image up and down and one that resizes it. Same for horizontal.

What did happen when you pressed enter? Also maybe Tab key to move the
focus to the "start" button then enter?

Frank

Fellow forum member Bob I provided the answer... In safe mode I used tab key
and enter key, guessing and clicking because I couldn't see the highlights,
and I finally landed on the start button ... then had to do the same thing to
"finish"

My monitor allows s number of adjustments, but nothing to resize.

Thanks for your help.
