Hi,
Sorry this is in the wrong group but I can't seem to find a windows 2000
Pro. Group.

I have a windows 2000 computer that is hanging on start up. It gets to the
splash screen and after a few moments with the bar at the bottom about half
way accross it seems to stall and I am unable to get any further. Recently
the computer has been taking ages to shut down but no problems starting up
until today. I have tried to start it up a number of times now but it always
stops in the same place.

It will start in safe mode with no problems.

Any thoughts about what I can do would be most appreciated as I am stuck at
the moment
