Windows 98 wireless connection to XP SP2
Posted by Drew2304finchdale on December 1st, 2005

I have an environment I am working on with IBM Laptop, running 98 and
connected to a desktop XP, which runs a network printer from it (The xp) I
have just sorted out a few problems on the XP and it has just installed SP2,
only to find now (maybe since) the 98 machine cannot see the XP and vice
versa, so now it is impossible to use the printer from the 98 connected to
the XP... How can I restore the network (just running on wireless linksys usb
module in laptop) so the 98 machine at least can see the printer...?

Thanks guys and gals in advance

Andy

is the firewall turned on?
if so, is there an exception enabled for file and printer sharing?
