I have several machines that keep crashing when you try do a search. All the
machines are XP Pro with SP2 and have been fully patched and all of the
machines are part of a domain. Search fails whether searching local machine
or a network drive. The fault log is as follows:

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.

I have seen many posts regarding Explorer crashing but can never find a
resolution to the problem. Some posts mention doing a registry hack but dont
specify what you need to do and some say files need reinstalling.

I would appreciate any help with this problem as it is getting very
frustrating.
