- Windows updates, corrupt files, now cpu won't start
- Posted by Jason on November 3rd, 2005
I tried to get Windows Updates. After I clicked run for the updates I
received a message that I had a corrupt file and that I need to run a scan
disk to check for errors. I set the error scan for next restart. After the
restart my computer will not open windows. I get a message saying I'm missing
a driver. The exact msg I can provide later. I have tried various steps to
resolve the problem. Help!

Try repairing XP by inserting you XP installation CD in the CD drive
and booting from there. The Repair option should be there.
