- Posted by Khan on October 1st, 2005
Hi Guys,
Iam Facing a Major Trouble with my Laptop when ever i try to start the
computer it goes just to a black screen but works fine when started in safe
mode. Have Tried a Couple of steps that are related to Hardware like
Uninstalling and Reinstalling Drivers as well but no Joy also tried system
Restore still nogo. Iam Going mad Over it and i dont want to Do a Format and
Reinstall and iam Sure that it is the Problem eith Software and not the
Hardware. So if any body has an Answer for this Please Help.
Thanks & Regards.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode. In the Display applet,
under advanced settings, check that the designated monitor
is the laptop's screen and that it is also set at its proper
refresh frequency, which is probably 60 Hz.
