Is it true that Windows XP SP3 is out? There seems to be a download
link here:

Please note that I saw a news article stating that Service Pack 2 was going
to be the "last" official service pack for XP. MS stated that since
Longhorn(Vista) was going to be shipped on 2006, there was no need for a
third service pack. However, my info was based on the news article, which
was publish around the time the Service Pack 1 was made available.

What you have seen is the Post SP2 fixes along with the 100+ hotfixes
packaged by any external non-Microsoft agency or fellow. It is distributed
all over naming it as SP3. But there is no such thing.

Review of Vista in recent MicroMart magazine says that most of the new
features in Vista will be available as XP updates.
