- Word document not visible in windows explorer
- Posted by JC on March 15th, 2006
I'm running a P4 with XP Home. Strange thing has begun to happen. I
create a Word doc... save it to c:\somedirectory. The next time I
browse to the directory, the file is not visible. However, If I try to
move the file back to the same directory I am asked if I want to
overwrite the existing file. As far as I know, I don't hide any known
file extensions. Any ideas?
Thx

What program are you browsing to the folder in? If it's Word's Open dialog
box, what do you have set in "Files of type:"?

Just simply browsing with windows explorer. I also tried to find the
file by file-open dialog in Word with filetype set to .doc
