Some how my Wordpad now speaks Chinese. When I open, save, print etc. the
little window that pops up either has the buttons in chinese characters or
the blue bar at the top of the window is in Chinese. How to fix please?

I found the answer in

The answer is to rename \Windows\System32\Mfc42loc.dll
(I was able to do this through a cmd window immediately after startup.
The file was still renamed after another reboot.)
