- XP Basic search tool - how to search for specific string. Eg: "Lost In Space"
- Posted by MicroMain on March 7th, 2006
I am seeking a document that I don't remember what I named it. I do
know the high-level directory, but there are multitudes of documents
within that directory structure.
If i use the words lost in space, I get all documents that have any
of the 3 words.
I've tried " " and ' ' and haven't been successful in getting the
search tool to look for the literal string.
Any suggestions?

Try the free Agent Ransack. Much better search tool than XPs.

Also try the free Copernic search tool. It too may return too many
hits, but it works so fast, that you can try lots of combinations.
