XP Service Pack 2 Issue
Posted by scorpion53061 on November 21st, 2005

I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 without incident.

For a number of reasons I needed to reinstall IIS. When I stuck in my
Windows XP CD I removed it.

I went to reinstall it and it now keeps asking me for a Windows XP service
pack 2 disc.

IS there a path on my computer I can point the installer to that will have
the files it wants from me?

Do you have people in your band or group that only play by ear?
When transposing songs do those that play by ear struggle and
does it leave vocals and band members without a recording in the
correct key to practice with?
Visit http://www.jerichoband.net/jericho/keychange.htm
where you can have the song's key changed to what you need
without negatively affecting the tempo or instruments in the recording...

Hi,

I suggest you slipstream SP2 into your OS CD.

Use AutoStreamer or nLite to make the process pretty easy.

AutoStreamer:

Create a Slip Stream version of Windows XP

nLite:

Universal Windows Slipstreaming and Bootable CD Guide

I have a uninstall folder left from the SP2 install with a bunch of files in
it c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$

you might try pointing to that...just a thought :>

Yes that can be done but you will need to keep Service Pack 2 extracted on
your disk.

I don't think that will work unless everything is under a i386 fiolder.
Even then that is not where I would point to. For one thing you want the
installation source not the uninstall source.
