- ActiveSync 3.8 and 2 Devices
- Posted by Kevin on May 6th, 2005
Have had a Dell Axim for ages and now just bought a Pocket PC based mobile
phone.
Both seem to sync without problems HOWEVER when I goto sync files each
device seems to have it's own, seperate, folder.
Can I change the settings so the same Files folder is shared on both
devices??
Thanks
Kevin

Hi,
Yes you can. From
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/acti...Configuration:
"If you want to choose another folder to sync on the PC other than Pocket_PC
My Documents, modify the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE
Services\Partners\73491db6\Services\Synchronizatio n where the partner id
73491db6 is always different for each partnership. Microsoft does not
support modifying the registry so do this at your own risk! "
