I have a client who is experiencing problems syncing files between her
device and computer. Every time we delete the file to prevent it from being
synced, the problem moves onto another file. At one point we were down to
just the original files on the device, and the error still occurs. Are
there any log files for ActiveSync 4.0.4343.0 that I can examine for futher
details? The PC is an XP SP2 using the included USB cable.
I attempted to log onto the club imate forums, but they are closed to
owners only, so I thought this might be the next best forum.

Hi,
Try moving all the files from the PC to another folder and unchecking the
option to sync the files. Then sync and setup the file synchronization
again.

As for reading the ActiveSync logs, Microsoft does not provide the
documentation to read them.
