- ActiveSync cause "Offline Files" to go offline
- Posted by Scott Bernoudy on March 6th, 2006
Hello,
Whenever I connect my Windows Mobile 5.0 phone to my computer and activate
ActiveSync, my computer goes offline. I do not lose my connection to the
server or the network on either my wireless or LAN connection. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Does your company have a group policy that they have implmented that
prevents you from accessing an additional network while you are connected to
the office?

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for your reply. I don't have a GP that would affect this, and
for some time the ActiveSync worked without interferring with the Offline
Folders--and in that time I have made no changes to the GP. -Scott

Hi,
It can be broader that GP. So for example if you have a VPN client they
can restrict the access as well.. The same is true for some intrusion
detection software such as ISS.
