- activesynch won't install programs to my x50v and the add programs won't open

I recently got an x50v and activesynch seems to work fine except when I try and install numerous programs they tell me to follow the instructions on my palm to finish but nothing happens on the palm, no programs are installed on the palm, it says that installation is complete on my laptop, and the add/remove programs window won't open in active synch
