Bluetooth ActiveSync with Single PC/Multiple PPC in Guest Mode
Posted by iSlappy on June 13th, 2008

I currently have a setup with multiple Pocket PC's (Symbol MC7090,
WM5.0)) that sync with a single pc (Win XP, SP2). I have edited the
registry (HKLM > Software > MS > Win CE) so that I can sync all these
as Guest only. This way I have a quasi sync station and don't receive
any Partnership setup requests during any sync which was initially a
big problem. Now, I want to get rid of the cradle sync and be able to
do these sync's via Bluetooth. I'm BlueSoleil with a BT2.0 USB
adapter.

I've got the standard partnership syncs down via BT, but have not had
much success yet with the guest only sync. Any help is greatly
appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,
Bluetooth is only available after you have synchronized via USB and setup a
partnership. So I do not know of a way to setup a guest only mode with
Bluetooth.

Darn, I was hoping there was some workaround to get a BT sync without
having to setup a partnership.
