OK, here's the deal. My PC (Dell dimension running Win XP
-sp1) was beginning to have some HD issues. So I swapped in
a new HD, reinstalled Win Xp and all the service updates
and reinstalled all of my software. Now, I can not get
Active Sync (v3.7.1-4043) to connect with my PPC.
Bascailly when I dock the PPC Active Sync says that it is
connecting, the PPC beeps the "connecting beep" and then
immediately disconnects. When I try the "get connected
wizard" it does its thing but at then end just says device
not connected although it does say that the USB is available.
I have tried everything...
I thouroughly went through the on-line MS help to no avail.
The PPC is functioning as I tried a hard re boot (cleaned
data off) and tested connecting on my old HD (had to
reintall on my PC) and it worked fine. Weird BC there were
no differences that I can think of software wise between
the two WIn XP installs on each of the HDD's.
I have tried removing and reinstalling drivers, specific
drivers from Toshiba (the PPC is a Toshiba e310), disbaling
both McAfee Firewall and Virus protection...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
