- Error Can't find port
- Posted by Rudy on July 26th, 2004
When ever I don't have my ppc in my craddle and I restart
my computer it will give me an error that it can't find
the USB port and if I want to disconnect. If my PPC is in
the craddle all is well. Any solutions?

Hello Rudy,
Try the following:
1. Right-click My Computer and then select Properties.
2. Select the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
3. Expand the entry for the device under USB controllers. It would read
like "Windows CE USB Devices" and right-click and uninstall / remove
the device it lists under it.
4. Reboot the computer without the PPC. It should detect the cradle and
not prompt any error message.
