- File Syncing
- Posted by Stephen Rashid on September 19th, 2005
I've tried MightySync with no success (it behaves much like ActiveSync).
I've tried deleting all files from the "My Documents" folder on my PPC,
syncing "clean", and copying the files back bit by bit. Nothing works. Is
there a log file on the PPC that I can erase and start over with a new
partnership? Just deleting the old partnership and re-establishing it does
no good.
This shouldn't be a tough problem, compare 2 files with equivalent path
names and copy the most recent file to both places. It's not rocket
science, but in typical Microsoft fashion, even the most trivial
fucntionality is poorly executed.

Hi,
I do not have a specific answer why this is occurring. I suggest that you
call your Pocket PC OEM and tell them about the problem so they can report
it to Microsoft.

Hi,
Is the problem that both files are being changed before you sync?

No, generally neither of the files have changed since the previous syncing.
Even so, the syncing process will remove the files from the PC, and not
replace them.
That's why I figure there might be a corrupted log file of some sort
providing the syncing process with bad information.

Hi,
We don't have that level of detail on where any of the information is kept
on file synchronization. That's why I recommend that you contact your
Pocket PC oem for assistance.
