longhorn as im unable to install activesync and even windows mobile center.

Are you talking about a beta version of what is now Vista, Vista, or a
server beta (still longhorn)?

If that's a server product, I'm not aware that Windows Mobile Device Center
will work on it. The System Requirements list no servers, only Vista
variants, RC1 or better. I expect that AS won't load on it, just because it
hasn't on any Longhorn variant. Probably out of luck, but if it is a server
product, some might question the wisdom of having what is typically a
personal device sync'd to it.
