I just installed Norton Internet Security 2007 and now my smartphone will not
sync any of the Outlook 2003 services that it previously had with an older
version of Norton Firewall. I am and have been using ActiveSync 4.1.0 Build
4841. Microsoft/windowsmobile trouble shooting has instructions for an older
version of Norton Firewall but not for the newest version. The settings in
the instructions were similiar to the new Norton, but I still cannot sync
with Outlook data. Anyone know what may be the problem?

No doubt there's a firewall in NIS and that's blocking the network messages
which ActiveSync wants to send and receive. Try installing ActiveSync
again, now that NIS is installed and see if that sets up the necessary
exceptions to allow AS to work. Make sure, if possible, before doing this,
that NIS is configured to allow firewall exceptions.
