Can a (final?) beta version of Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 synch with
Microsot Outlook 2000?
(I read that it can on some forum)

The released version of AS doesn't (It requires Outlook XP, 2003 or
2007).

Officially ActiveSync 4.5 (beta included) didn't support Outlook 2000. Which
version of mobile device are you trying to synchronize?
