synch - Outlook with Business contact manager
Posted by ApRust on September 13th, 2004

I have tried to synch a Palm device to Outlook 2003 with
Business contact manager and have not been able to find a
solution.

I am thinking of returning my Palm OS based PDA and
exchanging for a Pocket PC device.

Can anyone help me with a solution on synching Outlook
with Business contact manager to a PDA

Thank you for your help

Hi,

Unfortunately, currently its not possible to synchronize the Contact
information stored in Business Contact Manager information with your PPC.
ActiveSync will synchronize only the default Contacts folder in Outlook.

Amongst third party software, Chapura Pocket mirror allows you to
synchronize some of the BCM information however PocketMirror is compatible
with Palm OS only. It does not support PPC.

It's possible to copy the contacts in a public folder and sync
these?

My work around is to copy the contacts (select the contact and do a
Crtl click) into BCM. It sucks but thats the only way to have them on
your PDA/Phone and in BCM.

I hope the Microsoft fixes this soon.
