Synchronizing date and time between desktop and Windows Mobile 6
Posted by Nathan Sokalski on June 26th, 2008

I recently purchased a new mobile device, which uses Windows Mobile 6. If I
remember correctly, my previous device, which used PocketPC2003, allowed you
to synchronize the date/time with the desktop using ActiveSync. I could not
find a way to do this with Windows Mobile 6 and ActiveSync 4.5. Is there a
way to do it, and if there is, how? Thanks. (NOTE: Is there a
microsoft.public newsgroup for Windows Mobile?)

You device is supposed to pick the Date & Time automatically from your
PC. Are you saying that it is not doing that when you connect through
USB?

It looks like it is, I guess I'm still learning and adjusting to some of the
differences in Windows Mobile 6 from what I had before. Thanks.

Yea, it is just microsoft.public.pocketpc. MS didn't bother to change the
base newsgroup name, just because the marketing guys came up with a new
name.
