I am having a very hard time in getting files (WORD Docs) to sync to my
Pocket PC. Is ther anything special you must do. I tried storing in
directory on PC. Settings in Files in Active Sync say to pull files from
thta directory yet they do not seem to be moving to my PC. Any idea why?

Do you have the "files" sync option checked?

Are you sure you are putting the files in the "sync folder?" (check your
desktop for a shortcut)

Are you putting the files only in that folder and not in subfolders?

Hi Bev,

Thanks for responding to my note in cewindows.net. You mention that I
should confirm the files are in the correct directory for file syncing. I
just checked and they are. Matter of fact when I look at the settings it
is showing list of three files that are in the directory and ready to be
synced. However, they do not appear to be on the pocket pc device.
Actually what I am seeing are all my notes entries in Office.

Any other thoughts as to why they are not being synced?

specifically (expanded to be sure)

1 - Do you have the "files" sync option in activesync checked?

2 - What is the name of your pocketpc?

3 - >> "sync folder?" <<

Please post the exact path to the sync folder, including the folder name
on your sync computer

4 - Are you putting the files only in that folder and not in subfolders?

5 - what version of activesync

6 - What is the desktop sync setting? (continuous, manual, etc)

7 - are other things syncing?... i.e. change a contact and confirm that
the change syncs.

8 - are the three files to be synced open in other apps on the desktop?
