- syncing remotely Pocket PC 2003 to Exchange Server 2000
- Posted by Rebecca Choy on August 10th, 2004
I'm flustered.
My father has a Tmobile Pocket PC 2003 and we are trying
to figure out if we can sync remotely to our Small
Business Server 2000 thats running exchange server. I
tried setting it up earlier and it didn't want to connect
to the server. So I did some research and it says that to
sync with server 2000 i would need "mobile information
server", but i cant seem to find the dl for the
application anywhere.
Is this right?
Would it be better to just upgrade to Windows 2003 server?
I believe that this supports syncing remotely to Outlook's
inbox, calendar, contacts, etc.
Would I need any additional software other than the
upgrade to the 2003 server?

I don't believe, and I could be wrong, that MIS is available any longer. If you do upgrade to
Exchange 2003 then look at this page that may explain what you need to do...
