- 2Wire 1000 sw homeportal used for a internal network with cable modem?

I am switching to a cable modem conenction but i have the Homeportal
1000 SW that has a built in adsl modem. Can I use this still for my
home networking and put it on this side of the cable modem?
Do i need to disable the adsl somehow?
Problem is that there are only these 3 connections: Phone, Ethernet,
and USB. I am assuming that if this is possible, i will plug in my
ethernet to the out port of the cable modem?
I hope this is possible so i don't have to buy another wireless
router.

I don't think you can do what you want to do, but why not ask 2Wire? Here
is a link. http://tinyurl.com/2dfc3
