I recently acquired 3 of these; got homes for all in "friends and
family machines" .

Looks like USR doesn't want us "recycle it by using it" using these
modems at full-speed anymore; they want us to "BUY NEW"..
Unfortunately USR doesn't offer ISA modems anymore.

I've found various flasher files and special init strings; it
appears doable.... but only by being geek; I am but ... but I need
something that's "cluebie friendly" when installed by someone else
and I have to support it by long distance.

Any good answers other than strangling some manager at USR ??
