- Actiontec DSL and Netgear VPN firewall problems
- Posted by langjr15@uwgb.edu on June 12th, 2007
I have a actiontec wireless DSL gateway that I got from TDS for my DSL
connection. However I wish to set it up just as a modem. I am told
that if I set the DSL gateway to "transparent bridge" mode and turn
off NAT I should be able to hook the WAN port on the netgear VPN
firewall upto one of the modems LAN ports and set the static IP I got
with the modem to the WAN address of the Netgear VPN firewall. This
being said everytime I tunr the actiontec DSL modem to transparent
brdige after it reboots the internet LED wont come on at all. ANy
ideas?
